Last Friday, The Teas That Bind met The Cat’s Meow at Biscotti Tapas in Tokyo as I appeared as a guest to read extracts from the book, answer questions about writing, tea and earthquakes as well as sign some copies. Writing is usually such a solitary endeavour that it was lovely to meet people over food and drinks and talk about books. It was a bit daunting being up there in front of everyone reading my words, but they could not have been kinder. One of those evenings that you don’t want to end!
If you weren’t lucky enough to be in Tokyo and to be able to attend The Cat’s Meow – which hosts wonderful bookish evenings and is named after flapper slang from the 1920s – you can grab a copy of the book from Amazon or from print-on-demand Lulu.
Thank you to everyone who organised or attended, it was really great to meet you. I hope you enjoyed the evening as much as I did!
